Garden cress is a fast-growing edible herb in the Mustard family. Upland Cress and Curled Cress are popular varieties for fresh eating and microgreens production. Wrinkled Crinkled Cress, while still edible, is commonly grown as an ornamental–the silver seed pods make a gorgeous and long-lasting bouquet filler! Cress is incredibly cold-tolerant and drought-resistant, bringing nutritious greens to the table when little else is available. However you decide to plant bulk cress seeds, any one of these three heirloom varieties will be a worthy addition to your herb and flower garden this season.
